Job Description

Summary

Senior leadership role responsible for securing global acquisition and divestiture activities by driving cybersecurity strategy, due diligence, and integration execution. This role ensures sensitive data, systems, and assets remain protected during complex M&A transitions. The position blends strategic oversight with hands-on security leadership in highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Information Security Risk Management workstreams for acquisitions and divestitures
  • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures for merged or divested entities
  • Execute comprehensive cybersecurity integration plans for acquired or divested organizations
  • Conduct cybersecurity due diligence assessments for M&A targets to identify risks and vulnerabilities
  • Implement and maintain security monitoring, reporting, and risk management controls for A&D activities
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership for integrating security technologies and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and matrixed teams to manage security risks in complex environments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Security
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity with deep knowledge of controls and frameworks
  • Proven experience performing cybersecurity due diligence for M&A activities
  • Strong understanding of NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, and related security standards
  • Ability to lead security initiatives independently in complex and ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading cybersecurity initiatives within life sciences environments
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISSAP, CRISC, or CCSP
  • Working knowledge of COBIT and ITIL frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving skills across data, application, middleware, and network security domains
