Job Description

Summary

The Oracle Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based financial applications that support state-level accounting and reporting systems. This role focuses on database development, application integration, and data security while supporting enterprise financial platforms and regulatory compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Oracle Forms and Oracle APEX applications.
  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and database packages.
  • Support and maintain Oracle database objects, schemas, and application integrations.
  • Utilize Oracle Fusion Middleware for application deployment, integration, and security.
  • Support integration efforts with Florida PALM and FLAIR financial systems.
  • Design and maintain Extract, Transform, and Load processes to support data movement and reporting.
  • Ensure application performance, reliability, and alignment with State of Florida accounting practices.
  • Ensure compliance with data security standards and Payment Card Industry requirements.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Provide technical support, documentation, mentoring, and regular project status updates.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience developing applications using Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX, and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with Oracle Database development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with Oracle Fusion Middleware components.
  • Experience integrating with enterprise financial systems such as Florida PALM and FLAIR.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PCI compliance and application security best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
