Summary

Senior Microservices Lead Developer responsible for designing, building, and modernizing large scale backend systems on Azure. This role combines hands on development with architectural leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and high performing cloud native applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Java based microservices using Spring Boot with hands on coding responsibility
  • Lead high level and low level design efforts for cloud native applications on Azure
  • Migrate and modernize legacy applications to Azure cloud architecture
  • Build and manage RESTful APIs and event driven services using Kafka and Azure messaging services
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, code quality checks, and automated testing frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross functional and globally distributed teams in a matrixed environment
  • Ensure security best practices using OAuth2, JWT, and secure API patterns

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of backend development experience with strong Java and microservices expertise
  • 8+ years of hands on experience developing Java microservices on Azure cloud
  • 4+ years of experience migrating applications to Azure
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Azure services including AKS, API Management, Service Bus, Event Hub, and monitoring tools
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git or Bitbucket, and JIRA
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare industry or medical domain environments
  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio
  • Strong problem solving mindset with ability to innovate in fast paced environments
