Job Description
Summary
The Lead Developer IT provides technical leadership and hands-on development for shared enterprise applications. This role focuses on application maintenance, integration, performance, and continuous improvement to ensure systems meet business objectives and service level expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enhancements to shared enterprise applications and provide ongoing application support
- Lead and mentor technical developers while providing guidance on development standards and best practices
- Ensure application availability, performance, and compliance with defined metrics and service levels
- Follow application support and development processes including monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with application vendors, service providers, and internal teams to define and achieve SLAs and KPIs
- Participate in application development projects and contribute to shared application business cases
- Evaluate application service providers and products and make technical recommendations
- Contribute to short and long-term application architecture and technology strategy
- Execute disaster recovery and business continuity testing and evaluate results
- Research current and emerging technologies and provide recommendations aligned with business needs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information systems, computer science, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in IT application maintenance and or development
- Experience providing technical leadership and supporting enterprise applications
- Retail or utility industry experience
- Experience with interface development and application integrations
- Strong experience working with enterprise databases
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
