Summary

The Automated Scheduling Software Specialist is responsible for maintaining and supporting secure, reliable managed file transfer operations for a government financial services environment. This role focuses on administering GlobalScape EFT Server, ensuring system performance, security compliance, and seamless automated file transfer workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the GlobalScape EFT Server, including event rules, workflows, and automated scheduling processes.
  • Administer user accounts, access controls, and security settings while integrating authentication systems such as Active Directory, LDAP, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot connectivity issues, failed transfers, and performance concerns, and analyze logs and network traffic to identify root causes.
  • Apply software patches, updates, and hotfixes to maintain system stability and security.
  • Generate audit logs, compliance reports, and performance metrics to support governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and development teams to support integrations and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, workflows, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to users and stakeholders as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Four years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field, with postsecondary education substitutable on a year-for-year basis.
  • At least three years of experience administering Enhanced File Transfer server environments similar to GlobalScape EFT.
  • Strong proficiency in secure file transfer protocols and encryption standards.
  • Experience with security frameworks, regulatory compliance requirements, and authentication systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in an onsite environment.
  • Ability to successfully complete a security background check including fingerprinting.
