Job Description
Summary
The Oracle Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based financial applications that support state-level accounting and reporting systems. This role focuses on database development, application integration, and data security while supporting enterprise financial platforms and regulatory compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Oracle Forms and Oracle APEX applications.
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and database packages.
- Support and maintain Oracle database objects, schemas, and application integrations.
- Utilize Oracle Fusion Middleware for application deployment, integration, and security.
- Support integration efforts with Florida PALM and FLAIR financial systems.
- Design and maintain Extract, Transform, and Load processes to support data movement and reporting.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, and alignment with State of Florida accounting practices.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards and Payment Card Industry requirements.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Provide technical support, documentation, mentoring, and regular project status updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of experience developing applications using Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with Oracle Database development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Oracle Fusion Middleware components.
- Experience integrating with enterprise financial systems such as Florida PALM and FLAIR.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PCI compliance and application security best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
