Job Description
Summary
The Senior Data Engineer supports the design, development, and deployment of large-scale data solutions within an enterprise environment. This role focuses on Hadoop-based platforms, real-time streaming, and data infrastructure to meet business objectives and ensure scalable and secure data processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement data solutions supporting multiple applications
- Lead data requirements analysis and data preparation processes
- Design and build data service infrastructure across multiple data platforms
- Support real-time data streaming and integrations
- Oversee scalability, availability, and maintainability of data solutions
- Consult on data migration and transformation to ensure data accuracy and security
- Participate in deployments and ongoing operational support
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of relevant industry experience
- Strong experience with Hadoop-based data platforms
- Expertise in real-time data streaming technologies
- Hands-on experience with Python and PySpark
- Experience analyzing requirements and engineering data processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
Tech Stack
Apache Hadoop, Apache Kafka, IBM WebSphere MQ, Python, PySpark & Real-time streaming platforms
