Job Description
Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support research, modeling, simulation, testing, and certification of advanced aerospace and defense systems. This role provides system-level ownership across the full product lifecycle within a highly technical ISR and aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and enhance advanced systems and products.
- Develop complex system architectures from concept through detailed design, integration, and verification.
- Support ISR, aviation, and C4ISR systems including design, integration, testing, and logistics.
- Apply requirements management, systems design, integration, technical risk mitigation, and V&V principles.
- Serve as a technical SME for avionics and mission systems across operational and development platforms.
- Develop and field integration solutions for aircraft systems through architecture, certification, and testing.
- Collaborate with software and cybersecurity teams to implement mission system updates and improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- Typically 6+ years of engineering experience; advanced degrees may substitute for experience.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Expertise in systems design, integration, technical risk management, and V&V methodologies.
- Hands-on background supporting avionics and mission system platforms.
- Experience developing operational integration solutions for aircraft systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or certification in INCOSE standards.
- Aerospace and Defense industry experience.
- Ability to support baseline definition and maturation in complex development environments.
- Familiarity with radios, tactical datalinks, and systems integration labs.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows software development lifecycles.
Tech Stack
Systems engineering, ISR technologies, aviation systems, C4ISR platforms, modeling and simulation tools, integration testing frameworks, logistics systems, mission systems engineering.
