Job Description
Summary
The Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer leads the development and integration of simulation driven vehicle dynamics solutions. This role leverages advanced modeling tools and automation workflows to support vehicle performance, structural load management, and cross functional integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multibody vehicle dynamics simulations to support ride, handling, and steering performance targets.
- Optimize suspension and steering kinematics and compliance through virtual integration.
- Integrate chassis hardware and active control systems into full vehicle performance simulations.
- Develop and maintain vehicle dynamics master models and co simulation frameworks.
- Improve model fidelity through data integration, automation, and continuous improvement of simulation workflows.
- Create new virtual load cases and collaborate with test teams to reduce reliance on physical testing.
- Work cross functionally to optimize structural interfaces and manage system loads.
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical leadership across simulation driven development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a closely related field.
- Five or more years of relevant experience applying computational methods to engineering problems.
- Experience using simulation and modeling tools to support system integration and performance analysis.
- Proficiency with scripting languages used for simulation automation and analysis.
- Strong ability to collaborate across teams while balancing theory with practical constraints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think independently and creatively.
