Job Description

Summary

The Sr. Manager, Solutions Architect plays a critical leadership role in designing and delivering enterprise scale cloud solutions supporting large migration initiatives. This position focuses on leading the transition of a Google Cloud Platform environment to AWS while providing architectural direction, technical strategy, and thought leadership across Capital One technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solution architecture design for complex multi platform and cross platform systems supporting large scale cloud migrations.
  • Drive architectural trade off decisions and impact analysis for high risk or hard to change technical choices while managing technical conflict across teams.
  • Serve as a primary architecture representative in Architecture Review Boards and enterprise wide product, platform, and architecture discussions.
  • Partner closely with delivery leaders and product managers to define architectural strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Present architectural work products, migration strategies, and technical roadmaps to senior technology leadership.
  • Act as a central point of contact for architecture alignment across solution, platform, and delivery teams.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and evolving cloud capabilities to inform long term architecture decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least six years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or technology solution design.
  • Minimum of two years of hands on experience designing public cloud solutions using AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead architecture efforts at enterprise scale while influencing cross functional stakeholders.
