Summary

The Software Engineer Principal designs and implements scalable data solutions that support enterprise analytics, reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role partners with cross functional teams to build high availability data platforms using modern cloud and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise data solutions aligned with business strategy.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.
  • Leverage Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and PySpark to support analytics and reporting use cases.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and regulatory compliance across systems.
  • Apply DevOps practices and CI CD automation to improve reliability and delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain data platforms for performance, availability, and resiliency.
  • Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and problem solving support to engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in software or data engineering roles.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Hands on experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and distributed data systems.
  • Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem solving skills.
