Job Description
Summary
This role supports the Energy Engagement software engineering team focused on delivering scalable infrastructure and automation for energy products. The position builds and maintains systems that ensure reliable, secure, and performant applications. The engineer partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable infrastructure using IaC tools including Terraform and ARM templates
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for web and mobile applications
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to align infrastructure with application architecture
- Develop automation tools and scripts to streamline operational tasks
- Implement and manage observability solutions including logging, metrics, tracing, and RUM
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security best practices across environments
- Support incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem processes
- Write clean and maintainable code for internal tools and services
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps best practices
- Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies and trends
Required Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
- 3 or more years working with cloud platforms including Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools
- 5 or more years of scripting or programming in Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience with CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools including Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Knowledge of networking, security, and system administration fundamentals
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams
