Summary
The Senior Reliability Engineer is responsible for leading and monitoring reliability measurement and maintenance strategies for critical revenue and non revenue assets. This role applies Reliability Centered Maintenance principles to improve asset performance, reduce failures, and ensure safe, cost effective, and data driven maintenance practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead reliability engineer supporting programs that improve reliability, performance, and maintainability of operational assets.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify failure drivers and implement corrective actions at the appropriate system or component level.
- Act as a reliability champion for assigned asset classes or fleets, ensuring consistent monitoring of failure trends and performance metrics.
- Develop and publish daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance reports using analytical tools and large scale maintenance datasets.
- Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance methods to evaluate and optimize maintenance programs.
- Conduct failure mode and effects analysis and develop reliability models to assess risk and guide design or process improvements.
- Coordinate data collection across maintenance and operations teams using SQL queries and reporting tools.
- Participate in design review meetings to provide reliability insights and recommendations.
- Maintain data quality and integrity across multiple enterprise databases and CMMS platforms.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to engineering teams, maintenance leadership, and senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in reliability, electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field or equivalent experience in an electrical or mechanical maintenance role.
- Minimum of five years of experience in maintenance, maintenance supervision, or engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, root cause analysis, and asset performance monitoring.
- Experience working with large datasets and enterprise maintenance systems.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
