Job Description

Summary

Senior Distinguished Data Engineer serving as a senior-level individual contributor responsible for defining technical strategy, driving enterprise-scale data platform innovation, and delivering resilient, high-performance data pipeline solutions across the organization. This role combines deep technical leadership with hands-on engineering to influence architecture, standards, and execution at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy and execution for enterprise data pipelines supporting internal and external data availability across lines of business.
• Influence adoption of modern data technologies and engineering best practices while promoting operational excellence, scalability, performance, and resiliency.
• Act as a trusted advisor and technical authority across platforms, collaborating with stakeholders to shape use cases, roadmaps, and implementation strategies.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent while evangelizing data engineering solutions internally and externally.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least nine years of experience in data engineering and five years in data architecture.
• Minimum three years of experience building applications on AWS and working with Python, Scala, Java, or SQL.
• Proven experience with Flink or Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake or Iceberg, and designing high performing, resilient big data solutions.
