Job Description
Summary
The Manufacturing Site IT Operations LAN/Operations Specialist provides on-site IT support within a manufacturing environment, ensuring reliable operation of end-user devices, network connectivity, and IT services. This role supports day-to-day IT operations on the manufacturing floor while contributing to asset management, device support, and continuous operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site IT support for applications, devices, network, and infrastructure within the manufacturing facility
- Execute asset management and inventory updates for IT equipment
- Support label printing and delivery as required by manufacturing operations
- Provide end-user device support for PCs, printers, scanners, mobile phones, and tablets
- Use remote device management tools to diagnose and resolve user issues
- Build and configure client devices following standard procedures
- Complete assigned IT project tasks and support cross-functional teams
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals
- Access network cabinets and infrastructure using ladders or stairways as required
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of IT experience or equivalent technical education
- Technical school graduate in an IT discipline or equivalent hands-on experience
- Ability to perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment, including standing, lifting, and climbing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing end-user equipment and peripherals
- Strong Windows PC and peripheral support skills
- Basic understanding of LAN and WAN concepts
- Basic understanding of wireless communications
- Foundational IT security knowledge
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
