Job Description
Summary
Our client is seeking a Lab Facilities Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of a high-tech electronics lab environment. This role ensures laboratory equipment, infrastructure, and safety systems run smoothly while supporting engineering teams and critical testing workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support electronics lab infrastructure, equipment, and accredited testing environments.
- Manage lab inventory, space utilization, and facility operations.
- Operate and monitor lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
- Support gas tank systems, water filtration systems, and general lab utilities.
- Coordinate calibration activities, maintenance requests, and equipment lifecycle tasks.
- Ensure adherence to EHS safety protocols and lab compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and provide operational updates.
- Perform data management, reporting, and documentation for leadership review.
- Troubleshoot lab equipment and environmental systems to maintain smooth operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in lab support, facilities operations, or related technical environments.
- Strong knowledge of electronic measurement tools and basic lab equipment functionality.
- Experience with inventory management, space planning, and operations tracking.
- Proficiency in data management tools, MacOS/iOS, Word, and Excel.
- Basic networking knowledge is beneficial.
- Familiarity with calibration processes, maintenance workflows, and ticketing systems.
- Understanding of EHS protocols and lab safety procedures.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to work across teams.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of independent problem solving.
