Job Description
Summary
The Industrial and Process Engineer applies core engineering principles to analyze operational data, identify performance improvement opportunities, and support the design and implementation of technology systems. This role contributes to automation, facilities engineering, project management, and operational planning initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational and performance data to identify improvement opportunities and support business objectives
- Support automation and systems engineering including material handling and sortation systems
- Assist with PLC system integration, vendor equipment analysis, installation support, and testing
- Support facilities and material handling engineering for site, building, and system design
- Contribute to planning, execution, and startup of engineering and construction projects
- Provide analysis, reporting tools, and engineering support for field operations and cost control
- Support network design, capacity planning, and long-term operational planning initiatives
- Research, develop, and support operational technology solutions to improve performance
- Participate in cross-functional projects implementing new technologies
- Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for management review
- Apply project management fundamentals and support compliance and control monitoring activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical or quantitative discipline
- Ability to analyze data and apply engineering tools and methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare reports, documentation, and cost justification analysis
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
