Job Description
Summary
This role supports customer-facing web applications within the Capital Markets business, delivering modern trading and sales tools across derivatives and fixed income. The position focuses on hands-on engineering leadership, architecture, and full-stack development using Java, Angular, and API technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a hands-on technical leader driving design and development of scalable, secure, high-performance applications.
- Architect and implement Spring Boot microservices and event-driven systems.
- Contribute to front-end development using Angular and integrate with backend services.
- Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and establish development best practices.
- Ensure CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices support deployment quality.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Champion Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and data-protection practices.
- Create and lead technical design documentation and support application delivery processes.
- Facilitate complex problem resolution and provide technical guidance to teams.
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Strong experience with Oracle and SQL performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of Angular or similar frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps tools.
- Proven experience with event-driven systems and distributed architectures.
- Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and container security.
- Modern API development using APIGEE/APIGEEX with RESTful patterns.
- Experience with customer-facing applications in financial services or related domains.
- Familiarity with Agile project tools such as Jira.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
