Job Description

Summary

This role focuses on designing and implementing robust test automation solutions for regulated medical device IT systems. You will work closely with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation frameworks using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js
  • Implement UI automation using Playwright and Cypress
  • Build and maintain REST API automation solutions
  • Integrate automation suites with test management tools
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to support BDD practices using Cucumber
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation best practices
  • Troubleshoot and optimize automation scripts for reliability and performance
  • Ensure test coverage and maintain high quality standards across releases
  • Comply with regulatory and documentation requirements for medical device systems including FDA and ISO standards

Required Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI automation
  • Experience with REST API automation testing
  • Expertise with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
  • Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Proven problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience working in the medical device IT industry with validation and compliance requirements
