Job Description
Summary
The Application Support role provides Level 2 production support for critical payment applications in a high availability environment. This position works closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure system stability, rapid issue resolution, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 application and infrastructure production support
- Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues
- Lead major incident management and resolution activities
- Ensure monitoring and alerting are properly configured and maintained
- Support production readiness reviews and validate release supportability
- Analyze application issues and recommend technical solutions
- Maintain contingency documentation and support disaster recovery testing
- Collaborate with business, development, and infrastructure stakeholders
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to operational improvements
Required Qualifications
- Five to eight years of experience in application or production support
- Strong expertise in Unix, Linux, and SQL environments
- Experience with incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis
- Hands on scripting experience using Python, Shell, or PowerShell
- Experience supporting moderately complex applications in production
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in financial services or securities environments preferred
