Summary
The Senior Product Manager, Core Experiences Vehicle Setup is responsible for shaping and delivering the foundational digital and in-vehicle setup experiences that define a customer’s first interaction with their GM vehicle. This role drives product vision, strategy, and execution across vehicle, mobile, and web platforms, ensuring seamless onboarding, strong brand alignment, and exceptional customer experience at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive domain research and ongoing competitor analysis to inform product strategy and positioning
- Define, refine, and communicate product vision and strategy aligned with GM business goals
- Own the roadmap and execution for vehicle setup and onboarding experiences across global markets
- Drive seamless first-user experiences through close collaboration with design, engineering, marketing, sales, legal, and program teams
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term strategic vision through data-informed decision-making
- Align product requirements with regulatory, legal, and market-specific needs while maintaining a unified brand experience
- Communicate trade-offs, risks, and strategic decisions clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- Use KPIs and data insights to continuously optimize product performance and customer satisfaction
- Lead quality initiatives to ensure high standards for usability, reliability, and user experience
- Support go-to-market strategy and product launches in partnership with sales and marketing teams
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of digital or software product management experience with a strong technical focus
- 3+ years managing products centered on core user experiences across vehicle, mobile, and web platforms
- Proven ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints
- Strong experience solving complex, multi-constraint problems using data-driven decision-making
- Exceptional writing and communication skills with the ability to articulate vision, strategy, and technical details clearly
- Experience defining and using metrics and KPIs to guide product decisions
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and storytelling skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of digital or software product management experience
- Experience leading go-to-market strategies for first-user or onboarding experiences
- Prior collaboration with sales and marketing teams on product launches and positioning

Work Model
Hybrid role requiring on-site presence three days per week. Role is based at either the Cole Engineering Center in Warren, MI or the Technical Innovation Center in Mountain View, CA.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 103,000 – 186,200 per year. Compensation is based on experience, location, and role alignment and may include bonus and comprehensive benefits.
