Job Description
Summary
The SailPoint Engineer supports enterprise identity and access management initiatives by designing, implementing, and maintaining SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions. This role focuses on identity lifecycle management, system integrations, compliance, and operational stability within a large-scale government environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions across development, testing, and production environments
- Integrate SailPoint with ServiceNow, Active Directory, PAM tools, and enterprise systems
- Support identity lifecycle management and mandatory user re-authentication initiatives
- Deploy software updates, monitor SailPoint operations, and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Maintain and support SailPoint workflows and system connections
- Support Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation dashboard integrations and reporting
- Ensure compliance with change management, security, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, documentation, and annual testing activities
- Provide on-call and after-hours support as required
- Coordinate with external stakeholders and integrators to deliver secure identity solutions
- Produce technical documentation, analysis, and recommendations for system improvements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience providing engineering or systems support including architectural design, analysis, and documentation
- Experience mapping functional requirements to technical solutions and enterprise technologies
- Hands-on experience administering SailPoint IdentityIQ in large enterprise environments
- Experience designing and implementing integrated lifecycle management solutions
- Ability to conduct proofs of concept, evaluations, and technical analysis of alternatives
- Strong written communication skills for producing research and recommendation documentation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Experience integrating SailPoint with CyberArk for privileged account management
- Strong expertise with Active Directory including Group Policy, schema, PKI, and PowerShell scripting
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining SailPoint connectors and integrations
- Working knowledge of SQL Server including database administration, backups, and data modeling
- Experience supporting high-availability identity management environments
