Application Architect – Python

Job Description

Summary

The Application Architect leads the design and development of scalable software applications that support business and technical objectives. This role focuses on defining application architecture, guiding development teams, and ensuring systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement application architectures that align with business requirements
• Lead the creation, testing, and improvement of application frameworks and systems
• Collaborate with software developers and engineers to ensure architectural consistency
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams
• Analyze system requirements and resolve architectural and technical challenges
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate software and hardware solutions
• Integrate new systems into existing infrastructure environments
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions
• Ensure application designs meet organizational standards and requirements

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience in application or solution architecture
• Strong expertise in Python development
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and modern data platforms
• Experience building or supporting front-end applications using React
• Proficiency in solution architecture and complex system design
• Experience with ARIS application architecture and modeling
• Strong understanding of metadata and its role in data management
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data architecture principles and practices
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services
• Background in full software development lifecycle including coding and testing
• Project management experience across complex technical initiatives
• Knowledge of business analysis methodologies
• Understanding of IT infrastructure including hardware, networks, and data centers
• Familiarity with security architecture concepts
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
