Senior Manager, Network Engineering

Job Description

Summary

The Senior Manager, Network Engineering provides strategic leadership over enterprise network systems and initiatives. This role oversees managers and teams while translating organizational strategy into operational plans that ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise computer networks
• Configure and manage network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance
• Ensure network security and integrity through proactive monitoring and security controls
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement timely resolutions
• Lead multiple operational activities through subordinate managers
• Recommend improvements to business processes through new or existing technologies
• Oversee operational activities across a broad functional area and contribute to strategic planning
• Apply industry expertise to drive financial and operational performance
• Develop and execute business plans aligned with departmental and organizational priorities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
• 10–15 years of relevant experience, including 6+ years in a management role or as a subject matter expert
• Expert-level knowledge of network engineering and enterprise network systems
• Strong understanding of internal standards, industry practices, and evolving business environments
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills across technical and executive stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience building and leading high-performing network infrastructure teams
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing emerging technical leaders
• Demonstrated success driving automation-first network operations and cultural transformation
• Experience developing and executing strategic plans for enterprise network technologies
• Experience managing global network cost centers including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
• Strong background in operational governance, risk management, and cyber hygiene practices
