Summary
The Senior Manager of IT Demand and Intake leads the end to end intake process for technology requests to ensure alignment with business strategy and IT priorities. This role partners across business and IT teams to assess value, risk, and readiness while supporting governance and portfolio planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all new technology requests and ensure intake readiness standards are met.
- Facilitate discussions to confirm objectives, scope, feasibility, timelines, and resource needs.
- Assess strategic alignment by evaluating business value, risk, cost, and dependencies.
- Advance requests through the intake lifecycle while maintaining accurate records and status.
- Support prioritization and governance by preparing requests for leadership review and identifying overlaps or sequencing risks.
- Analyze resource and budget impacts in partnership with IT Finance and IT leadership.
- Deliver reporting, dashboards, and forecasts to support planning and transparency.
- Guide stakeholders by communicating decisions, setting expectations, and providing intake process training.
- Coordinate cross functional handoffs to project management, vendor management, and delivery teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of intake workflows, templates, and governance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Eight or more years of experience in IT project management, business analysis, portfolio management, or demand management.
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations.
- Strong understanding of demand intake, portfolio prioritization, and strategic alignment.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
