Data Migration & Data Feeds Specialist

Job Description

Summary

The Data Migration and Data Feeds Specialist will lead large scale data migration and integration initiatives across enterprise systems. This role focuses on building reliable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting seamless data movement across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end to end data migration activities including extraction, transformation, validation, cleansing, and loading.
• Analyze legacy data structures and map them to new system schemas to ensure accurate data transfer.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated and real time data feeds using APIs and file based integrations.
• Build and optimize ETL and ELT pipelines using cloud based and big data tools.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks before and after migrations.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data requirements and transformation logic.
• Monitor ongoing data loads and resolve data discrepancies or feed failures.
• Document data mappings, migration rules, feed specifications, and error handling procedures.
• Support testing activities, production go live, data cutover planning, and post migration audits.

Required Qualifications

• Five to ten or more years of hands on experience in data migration, data integration, and data feed development.
• Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and relational database concepts.
• Experience with ETL tools and platforms including Databricks, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, and similar technologies.
• Hands on experience with API based and file based data integrations.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data cleansing, and reconciliation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills.
