Summary

The Senior Manager Software Engineering role provides people leadership and technical direction for building and scaling GraphQL as an enterprise platform. This position drives technical strategy, mentors engineering teams, and partners across the organization to deliver scalable, high quality API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for GraphQL platform design, performance, security, and governance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable GraphQL systems.
  • Partner with cross line of business teams to deliver enterprise API solutions.
  • Mentor and develop engineers while fostering a culture of quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Drive innovation by researching emerging GraphQL, AI, and developer experience best practices.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges and ensure delivery excellence.
  • Establish and enforce standards for code quality, testing, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Six or more years of software engineering experience.
  • One or more years of cloud computing experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Four or more years of people management experience.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem solving skills.
