Software Engineer Senior – Quality Assurance Development

Summary

The Software Engineer Senior – Quality Assurance Development role supports large scale consumer lending technology platforms by leading quality assurance strategy, test planning, and reliability efforts. This position partners closely with developers, QA analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure systems meet high standards of performance, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead test planning and test strategy development across complex technology initiatives supporting consumer lending platforms.
• Partner with QA analysts and software engineers to ensure comprehensive testing coverage, system reliability, and performance quality across all environments.
• Participate in system development life cycle and project management methodology activities including scope assessment, risk evaluation, and cost benefit analysis.
• Coach, mentor, and provide testing leadership to team members while overseeing testing execution for ongoing projects and future initiatives.
• Deliver efficient testing solutions by meeting project milestones and ensuring adherence to development and quality standards.
• Analyze testing needs and develop detailed test strategies and plans while reviewing and approving test scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
• Review technical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance while maintaining updated application documentation to mitigate operational and delivery risks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• Three or more years of relevant experience in quality assurance leadership, business systems analysis, or software engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, SDLC processes, and project management frameworks.
• Experience leading testing initiatives and mentoring team members in quality assurance best practices.
• Ability to assess system risks, testing scope, and reliability impacts within complex enterprise environments.
