Summary

The Distinguished Engineer serves as a senior technical authority responsible for shaping the future of cloud-based banking platforms through deep technical expertise, innovation, and thought leadership. This role drives scalable, high-impact engineering solutions while mentoring talent, influencing enterprise-wide architecture, and advancing engineering excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evangelize a clear technical vision across assigned domains, aligning architecture decisions with long-term business and platform strategy.
  • Lead the decomposition of highly complex engineering challenges into practical, reusable, and operational solutions that can scale across teams and platforms.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for core technologies, platforms, and architectural capabilities, ensuring high standards for design, performance, scalability, reliability, and operability.
  • Drive innovation through hands-on technical contribution, including code samples, reference architectures, technical documentation, blogs, and knowledge-sharing forums.
  • Influence and collaborate across engineering, product, machine learning, and leadership teams to optimize outcomes and deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Mentor senior engineers and emerging leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical rigor, and inclusion.
  • Balance multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing work to maximize organizational impact while maintaining technical depth and quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Seven or more years of professional software engineering or software development experience.
  • Five or more years of hands-on experience working with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated expertise delivering complex systems across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and design through deployment and production support.
  • Strong ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
