Job Description

Summary

The Application Support role provides Level 2 production support for critical payment applications in a high availability environment. This position works closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure system stability, rapid issue resolution, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 application and infrastructure production support
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues
  • Lead major incident management and resolution activities
  • Ensure monitoring and alerting are properly configured and maintained
  • Support production readiness reviews and validate release supportability
  • Analyze application issues and recommend technical solutions
  • Maintain contingency documentation and support disaster recovery testing
  • Collaborate with business, development, and infrastructure stakeholders
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to operational improvements

Required Qualifications

  • Five to eight years of experience in application or production support
  • Strong expertise in Unix, Linux, and SQL environments
  • Experience with incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis
  • Hands on scripting experience using Python, Shell, or PowerShell
  • Experience supporting moderately complex applications in production
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in financial services or securities environments preferred
