Machine Learning Platform Engineer
Job Description
Summary
The Machine Learning Platform Engineer partners with data science and technology teams to design, build, and operate scalable machine learning and scientific computing environments. This role enables real time analytics, modern MLOps workflows, and advanced AI capabilities across distributed platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support machine learning and data science platforms across multiple markets
- Develop and standardize data science workflows and MLOps environments
- Lead setup of new analytic environments including tools, training, and global coordination
- Define requirements and act as subject matter expert for distributed computing systems
- Provide hands on support for analytics development and process optimization
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to modernize tools and platforms
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to research and innovation initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, or related quantitative field or equivalent professional experience
- Strong programming experience with Python and R
- Experience with streaming and distributed processing frameworks
- Hands on experience with MLOps environments and real time AI systems
- Ability to lead cross functional technical projects and interface with global stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Tech Stack
Python, R, Kafka, Flink, Ray, Dask, Spark, C or C++, Scala, Java, Vector databases, Feature stores & Retrieval augmented generation architectures
