Job Description

Summary

This role leads technical analysis, testing, automation, and software quality efforts for digital features and experiences. The engineer partners across engineering and business teams to define test plans, perform gap analyses, and ensure high-quality software delivery. The position drives adoption of modern engineering practices and supports customer-focused feature launches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical analysis of incoming features and experiences
  • Lead gap definition and develop test cases for owned features
  • Use automation to build and run effective tests
  • Establish methodologies to improve software quality
  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned features
  • Drive adoption of secure, scalable, and resilient engineering practices
  • Track and manage Jira tickets and follow through on deliverables
  • Provide technical direction and architectural guidance across teams
  • Advise on design decisions, technology adoption, and integration strategies
  • Partner with product and business stakeholders to align technical goals with business outcomes
  • Champion engineering best practices including CI/CD, observability, performance optimization, and automation
  • Prioritize customer experience for assigned features
  • Foster collaboration across global engineering organizations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
  • Five or more years of automotive or infotainment engineering experience
  • Four or more years of automotive industry or direct supplier experience
  • Hands-on experience working on benches or in-vehicle systems
  • Experience using programming to run test cases on bench or in-vehicle
  • Proven success launching digital features with focus on quality, testing, and debugging
  • Strong understanding of vehicle architecture
  • Experience influencing cross-functionally across multiple product areas
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for automation tools and modern engineering practices
