Job Description
Summary
The Data Integration Engineer will design, build, and maintain healthcare data integrations supporting seamless interoperability across EHR systems and healthcare applications. This role focuses on HL7, FHIR, Corepoint, and process engine-based integrations to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient clinical data exchange.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare data integration solutions.
- Implement and optimize Corepoint for real-time data exchange.
- Automate workflows using process engines and healthcare integration technologies.
- Develop interfaces, APIs, and transformations between EHRs and third-party systems.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and security standards.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure high data accuracy and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across clinical and technical environments.
- Stay updated on healthcare interoperability and integration best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of healthcare integration experience with HL7, FHIR, Corepoint, and EHR systems.
- Strong understanding of integration languages and healthcare process engines.
- Hands-on experience with Corepoint or similar engines (Cloverleaf, Mirth, Rhapsody).
- Proficiency in data mapping, transformations, and API integrations.
- Experience with interoperability standards and EHRs such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
