Job Description

Summary

The Compartment Integration Design Engineer supports early-stage vehicle development by integrating engineering models with creative design. This role focuses on packaging, system integration, and balancing customer-facing targets while enabling innovative design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and refine engineering criteria in collaboration with design teams
  • Develop integrated engineering solutions to resolve packaging issues using physical and math models
  • Utilize DFSS methodologies to evaluate alternatives based on cost, mass, timing, and manufacturing
  • Integrate regional and global requirements into vehicle design solutions
  • Lead cross-functional meetings, issue resolution, and surface integration activities

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a related engineering field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Understanding of automotive engineering theory and principles
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with CAD and Unigraphics systems
