Summary
The Compartment Integration Design Engineer supports early-stage vehicle development by integrating engineering models with creative design. This role focuses on packaging, system integration, and balancing customer-facing targets while enabling innovative design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and refine engineering criteria in collaboration with design teams
- Develop integrated engineering solutions to resolve packaging issues using physical and math models
- Utilize DFSS methodologies to evaluate alternatives based on cost, mass, timing, and manufacturing
- Integrate regional and global requirements into vehicle design solutions
- Lead cross-functional meetings, issue resolution, and surface integration activities
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a related engineering field
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Understanding of automotive engineering theory and principles
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience with CAD and Unigraphics systems
