Job Description

Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Application Manager to lead cross-functional teams supporting clinical and pharmacy systems. This role oversees application strategy, team performance, enhancements, and process improvements while ensuring high-quality operational support across ambulatory and specialty pharmacy workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary application team through full project lifecycles, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including mentoring team members, coordinating meetings, and communicating organizational requirements.
  • Direct system enhancements, configuration, testing, vendor upgrades, and defect resolution.
  • Develop and maintain change management processes, application documentation, and configuration standards.
  • Analyze business processes and define logical system requirements and data models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and communicate upcoming changes and procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across supported applications.
  • Provide high-level customer service across system boundaries to internal teams and end users.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT application management or related roles.
  • Experience managing cross-functional application teams in healthcare or clinical environments.
  • Strong understanding of Epic systems, ambulatory workflows, and pharmacy operations.
  • Proven ability to lead application enhancements, upgrades, and testing cycles.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
