Job Description
Summary
Our client is seeking a senior-level Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale cloud-native data infrastructures. This role supports advanced analytics, BI workloads, and machine learning initiatives within a high-demand environment requiring deep technical ownership and Google Cloud Platform expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, well-structured analytical datasets to support reporting, analytics, and modeling.
- Architect and maintain robust data pipelines for batch, streaming, and real-time processing.
- Build Big Data solutions using Google Cloud Platform-native tools and frameworks.
- Collaborate with product and business teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize BigQuery performance, data models, and ingestion frameworks.
- Implement pipeline orchestration using Airflow, Cloud Composer, or similar tools.
- Support CI/CD processes and version-controlled deployments using Git-based workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Strong, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow/Beam, Pub/Sub).
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and data engineering libraries.
- Advanced SQL capabilities for querying, modeling, and performance tuning.
- Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow, Cloud Composer, Dagster, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and automated deployment processes.
- Ability to work onsite and navigate complex technical challenges independently.
