Job Description

Summary

A technical lead role responsible for overseeing data warehousing, ETL development, and cloud modernization initiatives. This position includes leadership of onshore/offshore teams while remaining hands-on with data engineering, pipeline development, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ETL development, data workflow management, and data warehouse operations using SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Fabric.
  • Manage a distributed team, providing technical guidance and delivery oversight.
  • Support on-prem SQL Server and cloud platforms including Redshift and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Own sprint management, backlog grooming, and end-to-end delivery execution.
  • Define and enforce data architecture standards, validation, quality, and cleansing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product owners, analysts, architects, and business leaders on planning and delivery.
  • Drive modernization initiatives toward cloud-first data solutions and automation.
  • Implement scalable and efficient ETL pipelines, debugging and optimizing as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 7–10 years of data warehousing experience with at least 3 years in technical leadership.
  • Strong SQL, ETL, and data warehousing experience (SSIS, ADF, or similar).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on work with SQL Server or Redshift.
  • Experience with Python (preferred), Power BI/SSRS, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong communication and ownership skills with proven leadership experience.
